Hi! I’m Mac Miller- student, athlete, adventurer, and outdoor explorer. I am a huge outdoor enthusiast and love to travel.
Currently, I am a Junior at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington, Vermont. Along with attending the school, I am also a part of the prep hockey team, where we play a 50 game season and travel to places as far as Ohio for games. I am not just a hockey player, but a starter on the varsity lacrosse team and a member of NHS (National Honor Society). When I’m not in school or playing a sport you can find me at home studying for my upcoming test and quizzes. You will also find me spending time with my family, hanging with friends, working out, and playing video games. My parents lived in Alaska for over 20 years before moving to Vermont, and I was born and lived there for ten years of my life. I know the best places to visit, things to do, and local foods to eat. Since moving in 2010 I have been back to Alaska once, when I was there I spent my time doing hikes, fishing, seeing old friends, and recreating memories I made as a kid. I also have a brother and sister who were also born in Alaska, the picture below is our family at Denali and I am in the red shirt.
This blog is designed to share my experiences from living in Alaska, the best places to go, things to do in the summer and winter, foods to eat, and the top hiking spots in the last frontier. Thanks for reading!
