FOOD! Who doesn’t love to eat food. Especially when traveling to different places and trying their local dishes. However, in Alaska, it’s a little different. Many of the foods are served all across the world but in Alaska, they taste even better, and the majority of the local foods are seafood. You’re probably what are the best foods then? So here they are.

King Crab
- The most popular food to eat when people come to Alaska is King Crab. The Crabs are always served fresh and unlike crab from the east coast, it’s a lot sweeter.

Grilled Salmon
Smoked Salmon
- The most prized fish to catch in Alaska is salmon, and thats for it’s size and taste. Salmon is usually grilled and smoked before people eat it too.

Halibut
- Another fished that is caught and eaten in Alaska is Halibut. This meal is delicious and goes good with anything and usually, it’s stuffed with other foods like crab or cod.

Fish and Chips
- This is a meal that I loved growing up as a kid, every time we went to a restaurant my mom would get this too. Alaska also only uses newly fresh harvested fish for their fish and chips, making the meal fresh and delicious.

Oysters
- Try a tasty oyster in many of the different ways they can be cooked.

Clam Chowder
- Clam Chowder is a classic meal thats very good.

Reindeer Hot Dogs
- As crazy as it may sound reindeer hot dogs are actually quite delicious, it’s a normal hot dog just with reindeer meat.

Moose Steak
- Moose meat is very good on its own or in stews.

Berries
- The thing that I remember eating the most in Alaska is berries. Raspberries and blueberries were the best thing to eat when growing up, they always taste fresh and were very sweet. I would encourage you to eat any dessert that includes berries or go to a berry farm to pick your own fresh berries.
